Writing jokes for a speech, a sitcom, a character in your novel or for standup comedy requires discipline, precise word selection, and the same ability to be concise as writing poetry. Joke writing is a unique skill and a positive addition to any professional writer’s resume.
In this online workshop, participants will learn four techniques for writing jokes and have a hands-on opportunity to develop their own unique material. Through sharing the jokes that are created, the participants – and the workshop leader – will also have a lot of fun.
A bibliography of useful books and resources related to humor, joke writing and sitcom writing will be provided.
